Who Am I
I am a PhD student and currently working as a researcher at the Software Engineering chair at Saarland University, Saarbrücken, Germany under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Andreas Zeller. Our group is part of CISPA (Center for IT-Security, Privacy and Accountability). I am funded by Microsoft Research through its PhD Scholarship programme.
Interests
My main area of interest lies in empirical software engineering and mining software repositories. I am interested in improving software quality regarding reliability and security. In the past years I’ve investigated software archives such as version control systems and issue tracking systems to analyze problems in the software developing process. It is my strong belief, that leveraging information from a projects history can help us prevent future mistakes, speed up the development process and increase the overall quality of the software. I see a lot of potential in semi- and full automated approaches yielding oracles, tests, and analyses (and tools built upon these) to support and improve the software development process.
